Who we are

And in that day.....

"In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together; the leopard will lie down with the baby goat. The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion, and a little child will lead them all. The cow will graze near the bear. The cub and the calf will lie down together. The lion will eat hay like a cow. Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, so the earth will be filled with people who know the LORD."

- Isaiah 65:25; 11:6-9

Our Mission

Do you know the Lord?  That's a very popular question many Christians will ask of another.  Yet, it appears that people who know the Lord, do not hurt, let alone destroy. For whomever does not love, does not know God, because God is love (1 John 4:8). So who, then, actually knows the Lord?

Christians should have love and compassion for all life created by the hand of God. A love without prejudice. A love led by the heart, not by the stomach.

Honestly ask yourself, how would Jesus feel standing in a massive factory-slaughterhouse full of conveyor belts of live cows hanging upside down, crying out for mercy? Full of blades, and chick grinders? Full of blood everywhere? Full of sounds of agony, pain, and suffering? Which spirit resides in such a place of death and literal hell?  God's Spirit? If you're honest with yourself, obviously not.

The Genesis One Project believes that the way it was in the beginning in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 1:29-30), will be the way it is again upon Christ's return, in the biblical Kingdom of God.  And that therefore, instead of living a life with the excuse of sin having entered the world, we should try to practice living in a way that God originally intended, in every possible way. In a way that will be most pleasing in His sight.  Most Christians would agree that there will be no death, killing, or blood spilled in the Kingdom.  So why not practice it now?  Live and behave the way people who know the Lord, should live and behave.  And save the precious lives of innocent animals being mutilated in Holocaust-type fashion, in the process.

The goal of the Genesis One Project is to be a voice for Christians who are apalled by the daily, heartless, homicidal like practices of mankind against other members of God's creation. And to start the thought process for Christians through education and media, whom perhaps never gave thought about what attrocities they are supporting every day, by choosing what's on their dinner table every night.  And finally, to be a place where Christians, who understand a God of Love could not possibly be pleased with factory farming or hunting for sport, can find as a place of refuge. We were given the responsibility to reign over His creation, as a righteous King would rule over his people. To be care takers of His creation.  We are failing miserably.

When you get down to it, this is a matter of spirit. Good vs. Evil. Life vs. Death. Love vs. Hate.

Which bears the question: If God is Love, shouldn't you be as well?

Our Roots

Genesis One Project

The Garden of Eden was "vegan", for both humans and animals, before sin entered.

The Kingdom of God will return the Earth to how it was -

In The Beginning

Humans were to govern the Earth, and were given dominion over the animal kingdom. To care for it as a King would over his kingdom. As Jesus Christ rules over us. Not to abuse with power, but rule with humility, love, compassion and respect.

God is Love. To know God you must love. To know the Lord, you do not hurt or destroy.

A loving God would not create life in animals with a circulatory, respiratory, and most importantly - nervous system (the ability to feel pain) in order for pain to be inflicted upon it so that it could suffer.

Do all things in Love, with Love. Only then are you living a  life that is pleasing in our Father's eyes.

There is no law that says you must eat meat. But there is

evidence of what was originally given to us by God for food.  If you're choosing to eat meat on your own, the question is why?
